Macfarlane can supply these refurbished units from the smallest portables to the largest Generators, including multiple sets suitable for paralleling and load sharing. Virtually indistinguishable from new when refurbished, these 'pre-owned' Generator sets get the full Macfarlane workshop treatment. It often begins with a complete strip down and inspection, and the replacement of any faulty or suspect parts, before the unit is re-assembled, painted and returned to original manufacturer's specifications. |
An exhaustive load test program is then completed to ensure perfect operation, and a detailed specification, and test data sheet records this information for prospective customers. Macfarlane's 'pre-owned' Generator sets are carefully purchased or are selected trade-ins, and have usually been operational in stand-by situations where the hours actually run are minimal. Typically, diesel Generators have a life of thousands of hours before major service is required, so a machine with only a few hundred hours stand-by operation aboard is virtually in as-new condition. But at Macfarlane it doesn't carry that ‘new’ price tag. |
